HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
One hour, on location photoshoots will be delivered through a Dropbox link. You can share this link with family members across the world so that they can print the photos wherever they are!
Wedding packages will also be delivered through a Dropbox link, but clients will also receive a USB memory stick. Albums can be purchased as part of the silver and bronze package.
DO YOU WORK WITH AN ASSISTANT?
On most occasions, Monique works alone. Her active and adventurous photography allows her to move quickly and efficiently– some may argue, like a ninja! However, if you would prefer a second photographer, Eye:58 Photography will hire a second photographer at a rate of $50/hour.
ARE ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS INCLUDED IN WEDDING PACKAGES?
In order to provide affordable wedding packages, Eye:58 Photography does not include engagement sessions in wedding packages. However, couples who choose to book a wedding package through Eye:58 Photography will receive a $50 discount off a one-hour, on location engagement photoshoot for a remaining fee of $200.
WHERE SHOULD I GET MY PHOTOS DEVELOPED?
The quality of printing can significantly impact the final result of the photo and how it is viewed by the eye. Please avoid printing at low-end printing shops (i.e. Walmart). Locally, London Drugs does a good job. For Fine Art enlargements on metal or canvas, Eye:58 Photography uses Anvy Digital (www.anvydigital.com). Enquire about pricing.
HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR WEDDING DATE?
Once the retainer (50%) of the wedding package has been paid and the wedding contract has been signed, your wedding date will be reserved.
ARE THE PHOTOS WATERMARKED?
You will receive two folders with each photoshoot: One” first-stage edited” folder edited in Lightroom and a second folder of select “second-stage edited” photos that have been further touched up in Photoshop. These high resolution photos are watermark-free and can be used for your personal printing. Sometimes a third folder named “watermarked for internet sharing” will be included. When possible, Eye:58 Photography appreciates credit for photos shared online.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

CAN I PURCHASE YOUR TRAVEL/FINE ART PRINTS
Yes! Eye:58 Photography works with a local printing company that offers beautiful quality prints on metal or canvas. Monique loves seeing her photos hanging on walls! Message about pricing.
DO I GET COPYRIGHT OF THE IMAGES?
Under the Canadian Copyright Act, photographers are the first owners of their work and retain copyright. However, clients are given licensing rights of their photos for personal use (i.e. to print and share with their family and friends). The Copyright Act does not allow the client to sell the photos or enter the photos into a contest. If you are booking Eye:58 Photography for marketing or editorial purposes, licensing rights will be discussed in advance.

HOW SHOULD I BACK UP MY IMAGES?
Digital storage is constantly changing. Gone are the days of CD drives. Some computers no longer have USB slots! In order to keep your digital files in a readable format, Eye: 58 Photography encourages you to keep your photos stored in various formats (both digital and hardcopy). Eye:58 Photography recommends storing one copy of digital files on ‘the cloud’ (online digital storage) and one copy on your external hard drive.
DO YOU TRAVEL? DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
Yes! However, regional travel time longer than 30 minute drive from Eye:58 Photography’s location in NW, Calgary (near Crowfoot Train Station), may be subject to a fee of $.55/km
Eye:58 Photography loves to travel! Each destination wedding experience is different and Eye:58 Photography can discuss packages/rates for your specific needs. To date, Eye:58 Photography has travelled to Mexico, Holland, Hawaii and across Canada to photograph weddings!
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 1st STAGE EDITED PHOTOS AND 2nd STAGE EDITED PHOTOS?
Eye:58 Photography edits all the photos. First stage edited photos are touched up in Lightroom for exposure, colour enhancement, sharpness etc. Second stage photos are further touched up in Photoshop for further enhancements such as blemish removal, and other photo enhancements including turning photos into black and white (when deemed appropriate).
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU DELIVER?
Eye:58 Photography delivers most of the photos shot during your event/photoshoot and discards only a few of the photos as required (poor exposure, out of focus, eyes shut etc.). Each photoshoot is different, but you can expect a few hundred photos for a one hour photoshoot and 700 plus for a wedding day photoshoot. Some photographers choose to only deliver the most artistic photos from the day, whereas Monique tries to capture “the story” of the day, which might include your guests at the table or on the dance floor. It might even include that moment where your niece or nephew is having a melt down on the dance floor because it’s past their bedtime! Instead of Eye:58 Photography choosing what photos you will cherish, you get a huge selection to choose from.
DO YOU SHARE OUR PHOTOS ONLINE?
A big part of marketing photography, comes from potential clients seeing the photographer’s work online. Just like any artist, Monique takes pride in her photos and likes to share her work. If there are privacy concerns (i.e. child protection cases or the client has a job that requires anonymity, please let Eye:58 Photography know in advance). Please let your event guests know that a photographer will be onsite.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Calgary is known for its quick changing weather patterns. One minute it can be sunny and hot, the next it can cold and snowing! Remember #SNOWTEMBER?! Be prepared with something warm you can wear between shots. For clothing ideas, Pinterest (www.pinterest.com) has many great suggestions on what to wear, just search away! Try coordinating clothes instead of matching clothes. Avoid t-shirts with graphics and logos unless it’s an intentionally planned part of the photoshoot. A quick internet search will give you lots of ideas on what NOT to wear!
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES, TAXES, OR HIDDEN FEES?
No. Eye:58 Photography’s pricing has no hidden fees. Any additional package “add-ons” (such as extra time requested for an event or photoshoot) will be discussed in advance. Eye:58 Photography commits to being an affordable photography option while delivering great service!
HOW SHOULD I EXPECT TO BE TREATED?
Eye:58 Photography cares about people. At all times it is Monique’s goal to make her clients feel comfortable and at ease (if your kids are screaming and are having none of it, Monique will do everything within her power to help calm them down!) Eye:58 Photography does not discriminate- clients of all colour, race, religion, socio-economic status, gender and sexuality are welcome. As a former University of Calgary varsity athlete, Monique will even photograph non-Dinos! Golden Bears and Pandas are equally accepted!
